Today more than ever, there is great concern over damage to the nation's highways, secondary streets and bridges caused by overweight and unbalanced vehicles. Most every state and municipal law enforcement agency have adopted and practice weight inpection programs in an effort to insure highway safety and protect taxpayer invertment.

By utilizing large acapcity fixed truck scales, weight inpections are typically administered at roadside stations along the major highways.
